Women’s March

Nonprofit Rebrand

The Women’s March organization is an amazing organization that I’m very motivated to be a part of. However, I no longer felt I was its target demographic. Though I believe it has great potential, given its powerful history and knowledge, it was not appealing to women my age.

My approach was to be respectful and acknowledge the history, power, and influence of the organization, while also bringing its message to a younger market and promoting the inclusion of all generations of women.

I wanted to give women their voice back by using the extracted quotes throughout their marches, which I attended, and express it throughout multiple platforms in their brand.

One of the things I wanted to emphasize as an appealing way to communicate is showcasing the sass and attitude.

A pocket-sized booklet designed for distribution during marches. It features pages of essential resources along with nineteen pages outlining the organization’s core values. The booklet serves as an accessible way for participants to quickly understand the movement’s mission and how to get involved.

This on-site research informed the development of a platform: Digital Divas, a collective of anonymous, knowledgeable contributors dedicated to identifying and correcting misinformation across online spaces. Accompanying cards can be distributed at events or through the Women’s March permanent location, inviting anyone to join the initiative and support its mission.

Los Angeles is such a fast-paced city, the design system needed to command attention. A bold, bright, and heavy visual language was developed to refocus the public on urgent issues. In today’s rapid, distracted lifestyles, capturing even a brief moment of attention is essential for driving a powerful movement.

Designing an Instagram platform allows the community to stay updated and watch the organization grow on a global scale.

Below are images I collected from attending the march. I felt a sense of community there, where everyone looked out for each other.
